June 2007 Newsletter

New Winter Menunews

our new winter menu has been launched and is proving a real hit, chef mezza (now into his 3rd year with us) has really spoilt us this time , with some real winter warmers, including a soup of the day (today's was creamy pumpkin) and some old standards like "bangers and mash" and a "beef and guiness pie" he's also added a "thai green chicken curry" and a "mezze plate" to keep things interesting............the $7 steak is as popular as ever, and the $10 surf and turf (upgrade your $7 steak with char-grilled prawns and bernaise sauce for $10) is a hit!

sportssport

State of origin is upon us, and once again we have to listen to the queenslanders amongst us , who say they have a mortgage on "pride in the jersey" and other such rubbish ....well we at the grosvenor encourage all forms of sledging, so if you've got any mates from north of the border, feel free to bring them down and catch all the action on our giant plasma screens (and make sure to point them out to the management so they can be dealt with appropriately, providing we are winning).

The wallabies begin the international season against wales this month, in what is the begginning of a long road ahead to france for the world cup... hopefully they can get their game back on track, and if anyone knows john o'neill tell him "the grosvenor loves you"
